Abstract: . . .  energy system found to be unsafe by the building official shall be repaired by the owner to meet federal, state and local safety standards or removed within six months. If any wind energy system is not operated for a continuous period of 12 months, the county will notify the landowner by registered mail and provide 45 days for a response. In such a response, the landowner shall set forth reasons for the operational Page 5 5 difficulty and provide a reasonable timetable for corrective action. If the county deems the timetable for corrective action as unreasonable, they must notify the landowner and such landowner shall remove the turbine within 120 days of receipt of notice from the county.
